This year we celebrated Valentine’s Day early with the girls (since we had the fortune of our annual grown-ups-only dinner party falling actually on February 14th this year!). We crafted, opened little trinkets, and had a dinner filled with all the Xs and Os.

When it comes to making these days special for our girls, I am constantly reminded that it doesn’t take much to make them happy. All of our merriment came at the last-minute — meaning I picked over the picked over goodies, nabbed the last $3 red boxes from Target, and elbowed out other moms at Trader Joe’s for treats. And they loved everything they got!

This admittedly Hallmark holiday has gone from one of my least favorite to one of my most — meaning the decorating of mailboxes, silly gifts, and themed food has me more heart eyes than barf emoji lately. Happy Valentine’s to you and yours! May you come to enjoy the cheese as much as we have!
